Pisgah View State Park

Pisgah View State Park would be our 44th and LAST park in our 2025 North Carolina State Park Challenge. It will be North Carolina’s newest state park located in the Mountain Region, 18 miles southwest of Asheville. It was projected to open in the fall of 2025, but has some delays and obviously did not open this year.

There will be a phased opening with multiple existing structures being converted into the Visitor Center, picnic shelters, offices and staff housing. There will be ADA, equestrian, and beginner hiking trails with a low grade. The master plan with all the plans for the park is on the Pisgah View State Park sections of the NC State Park website. I would assume this park will be opening in 2026 and will be at the top of our list to visit. We’ll update this blog post once we have more information!
